Day of Rest

Today I wrapped Christmas presents until nearly 1am when I became too broken.

I woke up just before 6am and turned off some of my alarms. I hung/dried my washing then did another load, cleaned out and vacuumed the car, then got the children dressed for church (don't ask).

I drove across town to church by 8:30am, via three pitstops (breakfast, dropoff and refueling).

I followed with a day of activities as below (plus groceries). Came home, did a load of dishes and another of washing, then found out my internet connection still sucks (why wouldn't it).

Today Master K (and the others) got

• special breakfast
• Treat - 3 cups of cordial and donuts at Church
• Treat - Subway
• Movie - High School Musical 3
• Treat - frozen fanta at the movies
• Treat - to choose lollies from Sweethearts (the fill a bag style) of his own.
• Activity - Blue Light Family Skate night.
• Treat - family skate night came with pizza.
• Treat - I bought him another sugary frozen drink to go with the pizza (because I wanted one)
• A brief drive through a street where every single house was decked in chrismas lights.

He complained because I wouldn't buy him lollies at skating. Apparently Aunty Manda always did, and this is my failing.

Meanwhile, since when did churches start projecting sermon's on the wall behind the alter (dual projectors) to "save paper" ?

Now I sleep. At least everyone else in the family got to nap in the car today.

In other news: tomorrow, vegetables.
