Carter had stepped out for a moment when he heard Lucy's voice stating that she had the results. But when he'd gone back inside he'd found out that she wasn't there. He frowns a bit before going to the desk and asking if any of them had seen Lucy leave. They hadn't. Maybe something had happened and she had gone home. So he decided that he'd check around the hospital first (to be on the safe side) then check her place.
Searching the hospital top to bottom he didn't find her so instead he headed out fully intending to head to her dorm. See if she'd gone there. Though along the way he comes acrossed a puppy. Finding that he doesn't have a collar he picks him up (with every intention of finding out if he has a home... after he finds the missing intern) and heads off again towards Lucy's place only to end up in some weird hotel. He frowns and turns his head slightly noting that there's a wide expanse of beach in the other direction.
"What did I get myself into now?"
