Help! There's a spider in the lobby!

There’s nobody in sight on the beach, with a bit of a wind, the waves slightly choppy, chewing on the shore leisurely yet aggressively, the palm trees fronds dancing in the gusts.

Suddenly, not twenty-five feet away from a tree, about a hundred feet in the air, a thin stream of gooey white fires into the air, followed by a man in a bright blue and red suit, emerging out of the blue sky, his face covered by a mouthless mask, adorned with huge, threatening eyes.

Spider-Man shouts something along the lines of, “oh nooooo!” before he starts to plummet to the ocean. “I am not getting this suit wet again,” he mumbles, firing a web at a tree trunk.  It sticks and he zooms parallel to the ground, landing with ease on the wood, hopping down to the sand and looking at the trees, hotel, and pool beyond.

He had been swinging in New York City just like any other day, on his way to stop a crime he had heard on the cb radio. And then this. Spider-Man had seen weird (a man with four mechanical death arms, plus a supervillain with a suit that looked like a famed mythical creature being the least of these), but this beat all. Where in the world is he?

After checking his Spidey sense and making sure nobody is in sight, he changes back into Peter Parker. He has no idea where he is, and he figures the less threatening he looks the better. Besides, he can always sneak off and change into Spider-Man in a couple of minutes if need be.

He sets off down the path that leads to the hotel, noting every nook and cranny, places to swing, places to hide. Well, this wasn’t Manhattan, but for now it would have to do. He enters the hotel and looks at the ornate lobby, walks up to the desk, and rings the bell. “Hello?” he calls out. “Is anybody there?”

Typist: Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is officially here on the island, incognito at the moment as Peter Parker. He's taken from only the movies, after the end of Spider-Man 3.
