Out, today

By the pool, there is a girl in a wheelchair, two legs in a cast, one arm in a sling.  She is reading a book under a tree, taking in the sun.   The blond and athletic boy her age, (they are both eighteen) who is doing laps in the swimming pool occasionally stops, looks over to her, shouts a "You still okay, Genie?" before she nods from her book and he resumes his exercise.

She still has another month to go before she heals, though if anyone offered a way to speed up the process, Genevieve wouldn't refuse it: she is more and more restless, and more and more tired of her immobility.  From time to time she takes the ruler on her lap and uses it to scratch her leg, before she resumes reading Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

For all her cares, though, there is sweetness in her smile, as if something deep inside her was happy, in spite of every thing.

So, a two-for-one post: Zhane is doing laps in the pool and Genevieve is in the wheelchair, tag and let me know which one you want (or if you want both). And also a link to a log with Warren Peace, dated April 17th 2009 and rated PG-13 for an adorable first kiss.
