Jon Osterman does not mean to be disruptive.
The flash of light that cuts through the lobby brightly enough to blind passersby, his sudden appearance, the ripple of energy his arrival brings-- these are unfortunate but necessary, and they pass quickly. When it's over, he stands tall in the center of the room, his nude blue body glowing slightly, his face as blank as his white eyes. He's still for a moment, glancing slowly to the left and right, before he furrows his brow almost imperceptibly.
This wasn't where he meant to end up. What a peculiar miscalculation.
He tries again. No light this time, no energy ripple, no disappearance. No particle transference at all.
Just this place.
It isn't often that Jon can't answer his own questions, and he has more than a few about this place. Wordlessly he steps to the front desk, taking and examining the key with his name as soon as it catches his eye. After a moment's consideration he turns from the desk and addresses the room. "Where are we?"
Typist: Jon Osterman, AKA Dr. Manhattan, from Watchmen. I'll try to keep the spoilers at bay, but no promises.
