The Kirk Lazarus Film Festival

Jan 04, 2009 00:54

In the lobby there's a poster. The poster is large, featuring a large photo of Kirk Lazarus. In large font is THE KIRK LAZARUS FILM FESTIVAL, and, underneath that, a list of films featuring none other than ... Kirk Lazarus. Indicated next to each film title is a time, and a very, non-discreet arrow pointing towards a side room where our very own Kirk Lazarus has set up a big screen and some comfortable seating for those interested in watching his best of his work (that is to say, all of his work).

The films include, but are not limited to: Back Of The Bus (in which he plays a southern Klan leader); If You Could See What I Hear (about a deaf Nazi having an affair with a Jewish speech therapist); Land of Silk and Money (a film set in China); Moonshot (a Niel Armstrong biopic); Tropic Blunder: The Making of A Fake True War Story (which is more of a documentary, but that's besides the point ... Oh, yeah, Kevin Sandusky is in it, too); and, of course, Satan's Alley (co-starring Tobey Maguire, in which the two play monks who fall in love). Kirk's even been kind enough to include which awards he won for which movie. And there's a lot - five Academy Awards and eight Golden Globes, to be precise.

Everyone's welcome to come watch a movie or two or five. As long as they don't chew loudly (Alpa Chino is providing drinks and snacks) or talk during them.

Typist: Kirk's getting annoyed that no one knows who is. Come in and say hi, and feel free to pick which movie (if any) your pup watched. :) It's too bothersome to try and make it all go at certain times. Kirk might even sign autographs if requested.
