Since his arrival, Doc has come to the conclusion that he is going to be stuck here for some time. He has done his best to contact Voyager, but he accepts that there is little more for him to do now but wait. Waiting, of course, means that he must make the best of the situation. Thankfully, Doc is very good at doing this, especially when there are large ballrooms sitting around waiting for him to fill them with a party. Good-natured parties, of course. The main room is draped in happy decorations, and the food is spread about on buffet tables. More tables and chairs are scattered throughout the room and soft music is playing, suitable for a waltz, or something similar. No spiked punch here.
Or, at least, that the Doctor (not the one from that old British show or whatever) knows about. Christian Markelli has managed to commandeer a punch bowl and add a little something to it, just to liven things up. There's another one for the kiddies, the Mormon boyfriends, and the people who enjoy their fun straight (something Christian has never done). To be honest, he's been missing the party scene, which is why he jumped at the chance to help the bald computer program out with setting up this party. He managed to convince Doc that some people here are a little more like Christian when it comes to party taste, and doesn't Doc want to include everyone? So, Christian has done his best to turn the ballroom across the hall into one more suited for people with Christian's taste for fun, with strobe lights and music.
Scotty Wandell, on the other hand, is just happy to have something to cater for. The food in the main room; the Fun Punch, as Christian wanted it called, in the other room; and a few other little snack type foods on tables against the walls in the club room. The desserts were his favorite part, pies and cakes, though he isn't really the best baker ever. It was fun to do something different from he usually did -- that is, mostly various kinds of fancy seafood and chicken dishes. Expect to find the fare from fancy restaurants, crepes of all sorts, and a scattering of chocolate covered things and pies. Scotty's a good chef, in his opinion and others'.
Doc turns around happily in the main room, his hands behind his back, surveying everything with a satisfied smile. His camera is around his neck -- expect to be asked to pose for a picture.
"There's nothing I love more than a good get-together," he says with a happy little smile, turning his eyes over his decorations.
"Yeah," Christian smiles, giving Scotty a look and rolling his eyes. "It should be a real pleasant time. Listen -- I'm going to go get the music started up over there."
"Oh -- yes, go ahead." Doc still isn't so sure about this club scene, but Scotty has assured him that some people may want to have the chance to hop between the two rooms. Doc doesn't want to detract from anyone's fun, of course, but it just feels so strange. He's sure Tom Paris would have something to say about this.
Scotty heads over to the food tables, straightening things out and making sure everything is in order. Doc watches him for a moment or two, humming to himself along with the music before he finally breaks out into a song, happily moving between the tables.
"Everything appears to be in order," he says finally to Scotty from across the room. Scotty gives him a smile from over his shoulder, and Doc decides that he likes Scotty. "All there is to do now is wait for the people to come." He's excited, and he bounces as he walks over to the doors to wait for someone to greet.
Party time! Find Christian in the dancing room, Doc by the doors, and Scotty by the food. Tag one of them, if you want! Feel free to tag each other in the comments too; this is one big free-for-all!
