After the murders, Nick got down to writing out reports and had been about to find people to ask questions of, when he'd seen one of the bodies walk back in, alive. It hadn't been long until the second one did the same, clearly they were not dead. Clearly it wasn't a murder investigation. It had confused the hell out of him, which was why he was to be found at the bar, lager in hand, wondering how someone could have faked that scene, he'd checked pretty thoroughly, and in his experience, people who'd had their brains removed didn't walk in the door again.
Someone had fooled him, and he didn't find it particularly amusing, especially since he didn't know how.
