"Excuse me, I couldn't help but overhear you." He smiles and shifts his son to his left side so he can free his right hand.
"I'm Dr. Luka Kovac, this is my son, Joe." He pronounces the "c" at the end of their name as if it were a "ch, then offers his hand as he introduces himself and the infant he's holding.
"It really isn't that bad here, and ou do get used to things after a while, if that helps any, ."

"It's our pleasure." He returned the smile as he released her hand.
"It really isn't so bad here once you get used to the fact that you're in a place that you have no idea how you got to and that you can't leave." He offered a slight shrug before looking at his son who seemed content to watch Elektra.
"I will offer you once warning because the first time it happens it's a little disconcerting." Luka paused for a moment before continuing.
"You may find yourself meeting people you know who come from your past and possibly even your future as strange as that seems."

"I know how difficult it can be in the first few days here,especially when you've left someone behind." His thoughts couldn't help but drift to Abby.
"We experienced that first-hand. Didn't we, Joe." He directed the question to Joe even though he knew the small boy couldn't yet answer.

"No one seems to know exactly how things work here, whether those you leave behind know you are gone, or if time seems to stand still for them." He drew his lower lip in between his teeth as he formed his thoughts.
"Maybe you'll be lucky and your Matt will arrive here and find out the truth about you." He gave her a slight smile he hoped might reassure her.

"I met two people I knew from my past here, one was a woman who I knew was dead, yet in her memory and the memory of the other person she was still alive." He shook his head and shifted Joe to his shoulder before slowly beginning to pat the boy's back so he could ease him toward sleep.

"I think I've kept you long enough, I should let you get settled and I should get Joe back to the room so I can put him to bed. If you would like to talk again feel free to stop by." As he realized that Joe was indeed asleep he stopped rubbing the boy's back and simply held him.

"Thank you, I'm a little biased but, I think so too. You have a good night, I'm sure we'll see you around." Giving her a final smile he turned and started toward the elevators, his sleeping son in his arms.
