The newcomer looks at the pretty little drink and leans against the bar. "Good! There's alcohol here!" she exclaims. "I'll take one of those," she says to the bartender.

"Seen any young men to buy drinks for?" she asks the other lady with a mischievious grin.

"Seen lots of young men, not talked to any yet. . . or a' least any who weren't either previously engaged or too stiff-collared to look our way," she pouts.

"Well, we'll just have to find some, then!" she replies, swirling the drink and giggling slightly madly.

Giselle heartily agrees and begins scanning the room. "There was a waterlogged Lieutenant - Andrew somethin' - arrived coupla days ago. . . didn't get much of a chance at him before his superior shoved me off." She squints. "Blimey, the rotton East India Company's been damn debilitating on business."

"Andrew Groves, maybe?" She pushes up her hat and studies the women. "You obviously don't know how to do business then."

"Sounds reasonable, but may I ask why, exactly?"

"Because, Miss, I've set my eyes on him."

Giselle continues to glare: "And what makes you so sure his eyes won't stray, eh? To a pirate captain?"

"So far looks like he's set his path towards mine. And I've more a chance than a "barmaid"." She smirks, not phased.

Giselle snarls inwardly but smiles. "Then you can have him, Captain Anamaria. There'll be more like 'im eventually."

Maria watches the exchange, stifling a snicker. "Oh, you mean the pretty young sailor who bought me this drink?" she asks the captain, holding up the fruity concoction she had been idly stirring. "You might want to go ask him if he's still on for tonight."

Giselle throws her head back and shreiks with laughter.
"Plans, dear?"

"Always!" she says with a wink. "Life's too short not to have all the fun you can!"
