And here we have an confused Jenny Reilly. One moment, she's working in the diner, trying very much not to think of upsetting things, like morgages or her dad's health or the Donnelly brothers (one in particular, as always). The next moment she's here, in a strange hotel with no way out in sight.

Murphy wandered in the lobby as he often did whenever he heard something; it was rather a ritual at this point. He gave the new girl a smile and a wave.

"Hello, there!"

She stared at him. "Um. Hi. Can you tell me where - where I am?"

Murphy rolled his shoulders back in a shrug, his hands in his pockets. "I'm sorry I can't give ye much of an answer besides the obvious."

"Great," Jenny threw her hands up, exasperated. "Just - great. What am I going to do?"

"Hey there, sweetheart," Sawyer grins at her, looking a lot more clean and well-fed than before (though she wouldn't notice the difference). "Lookin' for someone?"

Jenny made a face. She really was not fond of being called sweetheart by anyone, let alone some strange guy (even if he was rather cute).

"Not particularly," she answered, flashing him a brief smile. "I'm just trying to figure how to get back to where I was."

"Where exactly was that?" Sawyer quirks an eyebrow. "I mean, it's not like I'll be able to help, because we're apparently trapped here -- but we might as well swap stories. I'm Sawyer, by the way. I'd been trapped on a desert island for a few weeks before findin' myself here."

"I'm Jenny," she answered, holding out her hand to shake Sawyer's. "A desert island, huh? Must have been nice to show up here. I'm from New York."
