Here's a little girl, about the age of ten, standing in the middle of the ship, fisted hands on her hips as she glares at anyone who dares to glance in her direction. She is very pale with expensive, though ill-fitting, clothes and a red knitted cap atop her head.
Her name is Mary Lennox and she is very disappointed and highly irritated that she is on a ship rather than attempting to sneak into the garden.
"I demand to know where I am, what I am doing here, and why there is no garden," she announces with a stomp of her foot.
