The first sign of the newest arrival to the ship is the sound of a nervous giggle, followed by a high, sweet voice calling out "Excuse me? Pardon me, I believe I've gotten separated from my -- from my husband..."
When she comes into view, stepping carefully up the gangplank, it can be seen that she is a very young woman with dark hair swept up in an old-fashioned style and covered with a wide-brimmed hat, wearing a fawn-coloured travelling coat over her pale pink gown. She looks perplexed as she blinks around at her surroundings.
"I don't believe I am on the right ship...! Oh, dear!" She addresses herself to the first person to pass by. "Pardon me, is this the HMS Törnros?"
Typist: This very lost young woman is Anne Egerman, from A Little Night Music, music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. She's taken from the very beginning of the show -- technically, before it starts, I guess. She thinks she's about to depart on her honeymoon.
