Fabre's smile is instant, though he twitches slightly on hearing Danton doesn't have any money. "Danton, this is quite a fortuitous reunion. I assume you were no luckier than myself or our Camille in achieving escape?"

"While that is some consolation, it would be more touching had they preceded us. Still," he added with a humourless smile, "I think we can consider this a renewed chance to make things as difficult for them as possible, after all they did for us."
