Wendla is sick and tired of parents and being manipulated by them. (Oh, the teen angst!) So, she's hauled all of her dresses out into the main room and is sitting in the middle of the pile with a pair of scissors, cutting the hems to the length that makes her mother twitch. It's her own little act of rebellion, but everyone is encouraged to come watch. She might even let you cut up a dress, too.
