I'm a doctor. *kneels beside Mark, examining him* -- I don't have any medical supplies with me. If I tell you where my room is, can you go get my things? I need to work fast.
I sure as hell hope so. There's not much to do for him but clean the wounds and bandage him up. *loosens one of the tourniquets just a little, to see if the bleeding has stopped* Looks like it's clotting up pretty well. Was it you who did the tourniquets?
They did what they needed to do. Doesn't look like they did too much damage, either -- tourniquets can, if they're done wrong. *very carefully removes one and sets about cleaning the wound* He's not in good shape, but he has a chance.
He goes to do as much pulling his stethoscope and tying a strip of fabric around the man's upper arm and checking his blood pressure. "He's a bit off, but not in trouble. We'll have to keep an eye on it though. His heartbeat's not as regular as it ought to be... I'm betting it will level out, though, it's not far off. I've alcohol if you need more for his wounds."
"Thanks, but I think I'll have enough," Joe says. He's working carefully, but quickly, making sure the wounds are clean. "The bleeding's stopped, so I'm going to get him stitched up."
A nod. "I'll keep an eye on his vitals then." The thing about Victorian era doctors? They can function as living heart rate monitors, which comes quite in handy when one hasn't the machine available.
