Enter a pale, sickly-looking ten-year-old boy, dressed in Edwardian fashion--short trousers, knee socks, etc. He pauses in the doorway to examine the people before entering. Once inside, he finds himself a chair, and sits on the edge of it, staring out at the crowd, and swinging his legs.

His face is blank, but behind his eyes there is a glow of triumph.
