It might be late, and dark outdoors, but it's quiet, which is something Kay requires when he wants to think. He's wandering aimlessly at the moment, still familiarizing himself with the grounds, apparently oblivious to the chill

"If I were headed someplace in particular," the tall knight answers coolly, "I'd not have spent the last hour wandering in circles." One large circle, actually, but he's done a full loop now. Not the entire grounds, of course, but he's covered a lot of area.
"If I were looking for a place, I would have asked." Yeah, men may not have received that, 'never ask for directions' stereotype just yet.
"Hello, brother," says a familiar voice from somewhere behind him. It's unlikely that Arthur has been following his brother-- and quite a bit more likely that he'd needed his own late night walk. Perhaps it's even a habit he picked up from Kay.
Then, with a touch of quiet humour: "You'll catch a chill."
Kay does not stop, nor slow his pace. Shorter stride or be damned, Arthur can keep up. He'd grown up with Kay, after all, and king or not, he's still the 'younger brother'.
"Sir King," he acknowledges, simply. "Not I. We are accustomed to far worse weather than this."
King or not, he knows he's never been anything other than the younger brother, and so he's not expecting Kay to slow down. He follows, perhaps feeling for a moment like they're back in Ector's house.
"Ah," he says softly, momentarily the boy who has been rebuked by the older and wiser. "You walk fiercely tonight. I could hear you from some distance."
"We are not on the hunt, brother," Kay points out. And perhaps, in some sense, he was hoping to be noticed.
"And why are you out tonight, if so concerned about the night air?" The things that are nagging at Kay's mind are to do with Arthur, of course. So if he can turn the tide of conversation, it is for the better.
Girls in ethereal white dresses are one level of oddity; men in armor are quite another, never mind Justin's issues with law enforcement. He sidesteps out of the way, with a quiet "Excuse me" that doesn't really do much to offset the startled look.
If Justin has no issues with Kay's brother, the knight won't need to enforce anything. As long as Justin makes a good impression that is.
That being said, Kay only takes another step or two, before stopping. Turning, he regards the man with distinct self-assurance. "Good evening, sir. Forgive my disturbance."
Mostly the impression Justin gives is that of a man about to bolt. Granted, he's trying to overcome this tendency now that he's no longer actually hauled in for random interrogations, but it's uphill going. "Not a problem," he says, and runs his hands through his hair to hide their trembling. "Just looking around."
Kay folds his arms across his chest. Perhaps as comfort against the cold, or to appear less threatening, hands being away from the sword at his side. It's possible that it just makes him appear more imposing, but he's not overly concerned with that at the moment.
He nods once, curtly. "I take it your arrival was recent?"
