He's been away for a long, long, LONG time. But, as these things go, he's back. Armed with information, a better knowledge of the land surrounding the Mansion... and more determination than is appropriate for a single man.

"I'm afraid not, my lord." Having spent a year in Gondor, Elanor expects him to recognize her, but he doesn't it's just another oddity of the Mansion.

"Mistress Gamgee! I did not expect to see -you- here! Are you well? What of your parents?"

His gruff demeanor is forgotten at this most welcome sight.

She's beaming. "All of us are well. And how are you?"

[ranger_estel]

"Much better, now that I see a familiar face! Tell me, Mistress Gamgee, have you been keeping safe?"

He's slightly, alright, MORE than slightly worried for her safety after what he discovered.

"What here's unsafe? Besides the food, sometimes."

[ranger_estel]

"The woods here are not like those in the Shire, Mistress Gamgee. Except maybe those on the borders of Buckland."

[thesunisastar]

"There aren't . . . orcs, are there?"

[ranger_estel]

He debates whether to answer that question, given Elanor's age, and the mere fact that he -does- take so long, -should- probably give her the answer he is unwilling to voice.

"Well, I'll stay away from them," she promises.

[ranger_estel]

And the smile is back.

"Good. It is a relief to hear that, Mistress Gamgee. Tell me, what keeps you occupied in a place like this?"

"Oh, I still live at Bag End. I just visit here sometimes."

[ranger_estel]

"Do pass on my greetings to your parents then."

[thesunisastar]

"I will, if you'll pass on mine to the Queen and Eldarion."

[ranger_estel]

"I will! Perhaps we will all speak soon?"

That's as close to an invitation as he'll get.

"Perhaps. You never know who you might meet here."

[ranger_estel]

"Indeed, you do not."

And with a friendly-if-small smile and a nod, he turns to leave again.
