House Warming Invitation

I'd like to let the community know that my son, Isildur, and I have finished our house. We're inviting anyone who wants to come by to visit or wish us well. There will be refreshments and entertainment (if you don't mind me singing that is).

No, it's not that large, but invitation or not, I'm expecting a modest turnout. You're a surprise.

It is much more simple than you're used to, probably.

*takes his time looking around* And you too, I daresay. Should be quite comfortable once it's furnished, though.

It's been some time since I lived anywhere so luxurious as you're thinking. We've been mostly camping out here all summer.

Ah yes. But I assume you were not living in a hut when you were Lord of Andúnie, or King of Gondor.

No, but it's been some time since then, hasn't it?

*frowns* And this is not a hut.

That is has. *smiles slightly* And I know it isn't.

We didn't want anything big for this winter. There's just the two of us. No servants or women. I don't want more rooms to clean or keep warm.

If... well, if we need to, we can add to it later. My immediate family isn't as big as yours.

*smiles back in apology for nearly snapping* *he's proud of this little house*

*nods* Quite reasonable, I suppose. And, as I said, it'll surely be comfortable enough once you've properly moved in.

Yes. We're just going to move our bedrolls in for now, and start making furniture. I assume Isildur doesn't mind that. We could buy a few things too, if we needed them faster.

Well, then. *drily* But where will you seat the guests?

On pillows. I have plenty of those.

It doesn't all have to be formal. This isn't a very formal house.
