Does anyone know where I can find a printing press? *holds up a pile of papers so big, it threatens to fall at any second. taking Gringoire's arms with it.* I've just finished my novel! It's 600 pages long!

I've got one, if you don't mind sharing with my newspaper.

There are newspapers? *smiles* My, literacy has expanded! About time too. I'd be happy to share.

*ponders being offended or amused* *drily* There are, and terribly liberal things people print in them. It's disgusting.

That sounds like something my master would say, if he knew about newspapers. But having 'liberal' things printed can't be all that bad, can it? Where I came from, only the priests and the nobles knew how to write, and most of them were quite stupid.

Oh, you've written a novel! *smiles* Would you like me to help you with that? It looks quite difficult to carry. And I don't know where you would find a printing press, but if you ever need someone to type something out on the typewriter, I would happy to help you.

Thank you madame, I'm much obliged. What's a typewriter, by the way?

You're welcome. *she's only surprised that he doesn't know what a typewriter is for an instant; she's getting used to people from different times* A typewriter is a device that allows you to write more quickly. You put paper in it and you press the keys of each of the letters and it imprints them on the paper. It's a bit like a printing press, only far smaller.

Well, it's a true story actually. It's about a comet that appeared over Paris in 1465 and caused a man to go mad.
