*a slender, soft-spoken boy in his late teens, with white hair, whiter than a snow fox's pelt, falling like silk over his shoulders, in a river of moonlight. An albino, one might suppose--and indeed, his skin is surpassing fair, but his eyes are dark, as dark as pansies at midnight*
Hello. I hope I'm in the right place. I am Alcuin no Delaunay, of the book Kushiel's Dart, by Jacqueline Carey. I am--well, I was a servant of Namaah, that is to say... well, I suppose I should explain. In my life, I was raised and protected by the love of my life, Anafiel Delaunay. He taught me to observe and to think, and cast me into the service of Namaah--crudely, one might say I was a whore. I despised my work, but loved him so deeply I hid it, in order to serve him better. I served him as a spy of sorts, gleaning secrets from my patrons in careless pillowtalk.
... pleased to meet you all.
