A young man walks in with certain lack of regality, considering he's the Emperor of the Chosen... though however it may seem the position was not precisely a wanted one, nor was it one Tal Graile-Rerem was born into. In fact, the boy was born in one of the lowest levels of the caste system of the Chosen.

But that is another story for another time.

His shadow is strange, attempting to mimic his moves but a fraction of a second too slow. In truth, Tal has no shadow at all... the dark figure following him is Adras, his Spiritshadow. All brawn and no brain, Adras is usually more harm to the young man than help. Now though the Spiritshadow is quiet... much to Tal's liking.

"Excuse me? Could someone tell me where I am, by any chance..?"

Hello loves! This is Tal, from Garth Nix's The Seventh Tower series. A lot of people aren't familiar with the series *especially decent writers* mostly because it's a book made for younger teens. I was in 8th grade and starting highschool when I read it as the books were being published, and the reading was oober easy.

I'm re-reading the series currently (shouldn't take me more than a day to finish all six. Seriously, they're THAT easy, but the plot is wonderful), so don't expect to hear TOO much out of him (or Adras, who is kind of a package deal with Tal... you'll see what I mean eventually) until I finish. So until like... tomorrow night?

Oh, and he's been aged a bit. He's 13 at the start of the series, and for here he will be 17. Because there's not much you can DO plot-wise with a 13 year old except the whole awkward puberty thing, and that's not much fun anyway.
