"Exactly what I said," Proginoskes says, flicking one or two wings open and shut in an irritable gesture.

She blinks a bit, but this, ironically enough, is more like what she was prepared to deal with. "Greetings, cousin," remembering her manners belatedly. "I don't suppose you know where we are."

"Greetings," he says, collecting his own manners, "I'm afraid I don't. I was Not, and then I Was and here."

He ruffles uncomfortably. "It's a bit disconcerting."

"Yeah, I guess it would be." Nita frowns. "There's a lot of that going around, huh?"

Proginoskes shrugs, a complicated process that involves numerous many colored wings. "There does appear to be. That's rather disconcerting in and of itself."

"You're telling me," shivering a little.

[namerofnames]

Proginoskes flicks a wing outward. "At the least, there is something important happening. One is not brought back from being Xed for nothing."

She considers this. "You think this is 'back', then? I mean, and not... because of?"

[namerofnames]

"Oh, yes." Proginoskes unfolds numerous wings slowly, one by one, in some sort of replacement for a human nod. "I remember being Xed. It was not like this."

[hniit]

"Well, that's." Nita pauses. "Good to know, anyway."

[namerofnames]

Numerous eyes blink at once. "Yes. Believe me - when you are Xed, you will know."

[hniit]

"Erk," Nita says, and, "Fair enough."
