A woman appears outside the Mansion. Her long hair is white, but when you get a closer look at her, you see that she is still young, and her face is unlined save for one long vertical crease down her forehead, brought on by her frown. She's gazing down at a large red jewel on her finger, which is glimmering subtly, as if snickering to itself

*looks at the ring on the woman's hand* That ring isn't magic, I'd hope?

*lipquirk* I'd hope so, too, but it wouldn't do much good.

[lorien_lady]

*sighs* So your world has become fascinated with magic rings too. *shakes head* You do not get distressed when you take it off?

[wandering_fire]

*looks at it worriedly* I don't dare. If this fell into other hands...

[lorien_lady]

*softly* What does it do?

[wandering_fire]

*sighs* Ruins everything it touches.

[lorien_lady]

I have had entirely too many experiences with that sort of ring. Is there a small person you could give it to who would throw it down into a volcano?

[wandering_fire]

*blinks at that, then sighs* If only I could be sure that would destroy it.

[lorien_lady]

*raises eyebrows* It is that bad? But that is what happened to the ring we needed to be rid of.

[wandering_fire]

Well, I'll keep it in mind, but hopefully it will behave itself here.

And fish might fly.

[lorien_lady]

I will help you watch, if need be. I have owned a magic ring myself, after all. *and is still wearing it, although its use has long since died*
