A woman appears outside the Mansion. Her long hair is white, but when you get a closer look at her, you see that she is still young, and her face is unlined save for one long vertical crease down her forehead, brought on by her frown. She's gazing down at a large red jewel on her finger, which is glimmering subtly, as if snickering to itself ( Read more... )

I'm just wondering where I've ended up this time *smiles* My name's Kimberly Ford.

It's just the Mansion. You can rest inside if you like.

*small smile* I'm Armand St. Just.

*looks at him with a frown for another moment* I guess there isn't much point asking where this mansion is, either.

*sighs and glares at her ring before smiling again* Well, might as well make the most of it. Care to show me around, Armand?

*another small bow and offers her his arm* Certainly.

Do you want to just see the main area or a full tour?

*takes his arm with an amused smile*

A full tour if you would, Monsieur.

*leads her into the main room*

This is the main room where people can sit on couches and chairs and there are tables. *points to the hearth* It's very comfortable over by that. There are always enough couches.

*looks around bemusedly* It all looks so welcoming and homely.

It often is. I've been staying away a bit more lately. I used to live upstairs though. First with Admiral Alistair McKeon and then with my fiance, Chris Wren. There's a library and a kitchen too.

The kitchen is wonderful. There is a stove that turns on with just a switch and a... refrigerator... that always keeps things cold and always has the food you want. There's also the plothole. It's in a closet.

*amused* Oh, we have kitchens like that back in Toronto. But what on earth is a plothole? No, that's not right. I know what a plothole is, but how can a plothole be tangible?

*shrugs* Look in the closet. It's some kind of magic. We find things we need in it.

*approaches the closet cautiously, because knows about magic* How does it work?

Well, you just look into it and reach into the hole. Don't fall in though. That's a bit unpredictable.

Is there something you'd like to find?

Anything at all?

Just about...

Jeanne found the Loch Ness Monster in there once.

*laughs* Well, I won't be trying for that.

*thinks* How about.... *thinks of a herb that's particularly difficult to find and reaches in nervously*

Well, look. It worked.
