Pleurnichez Pas Une Fois Battu

I have gone far beyond the end of my patience. I have stretched it to its limit and held it at arm’s length throughout a blindfolded balancing act, attempting to achieve some pointless level of civility. I refuse to continue expending such effort for a lost cause.

I am not a whipped dog. You may treat me as such and you may expect me to act the part but, should you choose to do so, you will be disappointed by what you find. I will not follow at your heels, grinning stupidly as you throw mud in my face. I will not be found begging for your praise or cowering when you kick me. I will leave such idiocy to other fools.

Cunning. Ambitious. When was “whimpering lapdog” added to the list of traits that define Slytherin House? I would rather judge a man by his character than by his power. You may have influence, Malfoy, but you have no character to speak of. I have lived my life all but alone. When your father is little more than a concept and your mother nothing but a gravestone, the world demands that you make something of yourself rather than sitting atop the pedestal of a family name.

Grow up, Draco. We’re barely children anymore. Stop acting the part of a prince and realise you’re a pauper.

Il y a plus de personnes au-dessus de vous que ci-dessous.

There are more people above you than below.
