*smiles, and rather awkwardly takes one of her hands in a clumsy sort of quick shake* H'lo. I'm good! You?

Typist: Does it help at all that I'm really just drawing bits and pieces from it, and adjusting most of them, at that?

*lopsided grin* Good! How's - where'd you two go? Napolita?

Napolita, for a while. We've been all over. I get bored fast. *laughs* I like the landscape to change. Besides, we get into scrapes sometimes. I'm not that respectable an ordinary woman.

*cheerfully* No, of course not, but you can get away with different things if you're a disrespectable queen. I can smoke my pipe now in peace, but they make fusses about other things.

What things? Picking pockets, and turning cartwheels in the yard of the mayor's house, and daring to turn up your nose at the town elders?

*laughs surprisedly and hugs back* And petting the horses of strangers and teasing the strangers themselves? and trying to give their children coins or sweets?

And teaching them how to pick the nails out of the neighbours' horses' shoes, and how to pinch in a fight so you can win. *grins*

Now, that is disrespectable! Shouldn't be getting into fights at all. I suppose, though, that it's better than teaching them how to pinch horses and pick the nails out of their opponents in a fight.

It seems a habit many monarchs have picked up from their time on the throne and under the crown - that your habit for it comes from your childhood, and not your heritage, is rather a relief, really.
