Oh, I can hardly believe my luck, to discover a place like this! I've read about so many of you all, and your stories-- so romantic! Now, a few of them could use improvements here and there, mind, but-- oh, there's time for that later, isn't there? I'm planning on a whole new series, you see. I'll retell classics, only with a twist. After all, there are so many characters whose lives need exploring! Usually I'm not so out-in-the-open about things-- after all, the fans can be awfully enthusiastic, and it doesn't do to overexcite people-- but I was so very delighted to find myself here that I just couldn't resist popping in and saying hello!
I don't believe I've introduced myself! Oh, dear. Locked away working all the time, I do tend to forget my manners. You don't churn out book after best-selling book without sacrificing a little personal time, after all. I'm Daphne Farquitt, the romance novelist. I'm sure you've heard of me.
Oh, dear! I must be off. I've got work to do. I've just thought of the most wonderful idea for a new novel. Tell me what you think of this-- What if Ophelia didn't drown at all, but was murdered by the hand of a jealous lover? *giggles excitedly* Ooh, I simply can't wait. It'll be positively delicious.
Typist: Daphne is from Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next series.
