Er, evening, then! Or morning, or ... er, the typist says it's proper to say 'timeofday' here, so, well, timeofday!

That's a wicked useful phrase, I'll have to get used to it.

Also with this typist creature not being temporary, that's new. All we've ever had before are temporary typists -- this one claims to be different, ah well.

I'm Michael Cantrip -- please do call me Cantrip, though, I sometimes forget that my first name's Michael, since nobody uses it. I'm a barrister -- that's a lawyer for you people who aren't on the right side of the pond -- and there were some books with me in them! Since these books never really got a name, and my old mate Hilary wrote them, I guess you might call them the Hilary Tamar series.

Pleasure meeting you all! I do have a tendency to be dastardly talkative, sometimes.

Typist: Michael Cantrip from the Hilary Tamar mysteries by Sarah Caudwell. The most wonderful books In The World, if I may say. Which I probably can't say. :)
