*gives you a searching look and takes your hands; you begin to feel a gentle flow of calming engery*
Twins, is it? Poor dear, and you are still so young! And you do look a bit peaky! Are you sure that you are resting enough?
I am going to collect herbs tomorrow. I could prepare a soothing tisane for you tomorrow evening, if you care to try it.
What sort of healer I am?
Well, dear, I have the Gift and I have served in the temple of the Great Mothergoddess in Corus. After I married for the first time I was mid-wife and healer to the citizens and scoundrels in the Lower City of Corus, Tortall's capital.
I can promise you that I am very much alive and kicking. And I think I am reasonably sane. *winks at you*
About my reputation...
*raises eyebrow at you, but smiles understandingly; then she sighs*
Well, my son has done his very best to ruin it. But he has a heart of gold, that he has. Why don't you ask my daughter-in-law, if you are worried about my good name? And I am sure Her Majesty would be kind enough to write out a letter for me, if you need more reassurement that I am quite trustworthy.
These are dark times, so I understand your caution.
But now you really should try and lie down for a bit. You are much too pale. This excitement cannot be good for the babes...
I can "hear" the babies. They are both strong and very lively. No doubt they are going to try some jinxes with you even before they are born. Your lovely young wife really should take care and rest as much as possible...
Well, I mean, I'm trying to get her to rest, but that's not exactly something Hermione does very well. She goes mad if she doesn't move around and stuff.
Oh! But... but... I'm trying! I really am! There's just so much that needs doing, and I can't just sit there and have everyone else do the work for me!
There is so much I wish to ask, say and do. I don't even know where to begin. Ron's already trying to tell me the same thing, that I *must* rest, but... Oh, it's no use! I can't even get my thoughts sorted enough!
Apart from being a gift by the Goddess, magic is also at its most basic level a means of self-defense.
This means, if you get yourself stressed out and agitated, especially if you also use your powers a lot, the babies will pick that up. At worst, they might instinctively start to use their own talents before they are even born. But trust me, you don't want newborn babies being able to levitate or burn something. That is not a good idea.
It is also not healthy for the delicate minds of the babies.
If you manage to rest, to keep calm... the babies will stay calm, and will discover their powers when it is time for them to discover what they can do.
*hands over a bag of tea-leaves*
This is a nice relaxing tea. Very mild; you need not fear to take it. Just a bit of passion-flower and balm.
*again she reaches for your hand, and as she holds it, you feel a prickling, but soothing energy flood your body; you feel relaxed and soothed*

Then try harder, Mr. Weasley.

But you say they are all right?

But.
You have to understand what magic means.
