*grins slightly* Well hello there. My name is Elphaba Thropp-Cohen. Welcome to the community, Mme Malfoy.

*raises eyebrow* What are you smirking at?

*blinks* Why... you're green! Oh, how horrendous!

*grins wider* Yes, yes I am green. Never met a green woman before?

*winces in disgust* Ugh... no, I haven't. And I had never intended to, either. How horribly unnatural!

Well, I'd hate to put a blemish on your perfect record, Mme.

Well, I've always wanted to meet someone green. *holds out hand to be shaken*

I'm Mike Jackson. Pleased to meet you.

Please do be careful about how you address my sister. Surely she doesn't appreciate your snide remarks, and neither do I...and neither will the many friends of hers in this community. So if you'd like to remain here--all in one piece--I recommend you practice your civility.

*glances at Elphaba critically* She has friends?

Many more than I'm sure you'll ever have, Madam.

*smirks* I have quite a few friends, Miss. I have nothing to complain about, on that account.

*laughs* My dear 'Ferre! They all are, you know.

*glares* And just what do you mean by that?

Madame, I've known more than my fair share of aristocrats in my painfully short lifetime, and they've all held lineage very dear; and of course perhaps they've every right.

I wouldn't know, I fear, for I'm only the son of a farmer, myself. I may have married into the aristocracy, however; but you'd have to ask my husband about that. *laughs*

For the greater part, yes, alas and more's the pity. *chuckles* But I, eternal believer in the ability of human good to triumph over unfortunate circumstances that I am, continue to hope!

Rather foolish, probably...
