The End of the Ghost's Love Story
Three weeks later, the Epoque published this announcement:
"Erik is dead."
His body was found lying on the kitchen floor at Kiamo Ko castle. An autopsy was performed, but the cause of his death is unclear. M. le Fantôme was "undead" and therefore in perfect health, and his body bore no signs of being physically murdered. There were three others living in the castle at that time: his widow, Mme. Christine le Fantôme, one Mme. Elphaba Thropp-Cohen and one M. Mark Thropp-Cohen. There were no signs of a struggle. The only thing out of the ordinary about the scene, besides M. le Fantôme's corpse, of course, was a pile of sheep innards lying in the sink.
