The garden of the large court was as enchanting as a mid-summer night’s dream. Everyone had gathered at the base of the stairs for the start of the lavish firework display. A very well dressed servant of the Count comes to the edge of the railing and looks down at the sea of guest.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to The Count of Monte Cristo."

The servant steps back and the guest can see the black silhouette of a hot air balloon coming down from the heavens. It is spectacular against the backdrop of the fireworks. The guest wait in baited breath as the balloon descends upon the grounds above them. Both the fireworks and the music below stop for the dramatic effect. The guests are surprised when white ropes are dropped from the balloon and acrobats climb out in a circus extravaganza way. They slide upside down on the rope with ease and just when you think that they will fall to the ground, they straighten themselves out and pull the ropes to the side so that they can hold it down. Two eloquently dressed guards come to the balloon and open the base for the Count. This is what the crowd was waiting for.

He leaves the balloon and comes towards the railing so that he can also look at the crowd below. He is dressed in a crisp crimson, gold, and black velvet suit that is perfect for a ball tonight. His power, wealth, prestige, and knowledge is all that they can see and he wants it to be that way. He comes to the railing and looks down at the many people who have come to see him. He smiles at them with dark blue eyes that are shrouded with dark mystery.

"Greetings."
