I am Lord Námo, Master of the Halls of Mandos, Vala of the Dead. I keep the souls of elves who have died until they are ready to return to the living world again and see the souls of humans on their first steps to wherever they are to go.
I am also a character from the book The Silmarillion, by JRR Tolkien and edited by his son, Christopher - something I would care to note because Christopher had to guess at some of the details when he was putting the book together.
