Yes. She's hugging a tree, blissfully. And she's again a sweet sixteen.

Oberyn is outside, of course, probably leaning against another tree. He stubs out his cigarette, half smiling at Delilah. "Might need some extra arms to reach around that," he murmurs, one eyebrow just half quirked, standing in classic 'cocky asshole' posture, hips slightly out and shoulders curled down. His jacket hangs open and today his shirt is the Sex Pistols, though someone has crossed out the 'Pistols' part in Sharpie.

She turns around, glances at the bad boy. "It's not the point. The point is to be one with nature." She glances at the stub. "You should pick that up. It takes seven years for a cigarette butt to decay."

He glances at it. "Seven years isn't that long." Easily. He straightens. "Besides. How do you know it's not biodegradable or whatever?"

"Because we saw that in biology last semester. You must have missed that class."

Oberyn grimaces, trying to think. "...yeah, possibly. Wasn't that interested in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells."

He's smart, just thoroughly bored by school and all its trappings.

"You should be. We need to know what science is doing so that we can be ready to protest, if they change the natural order of things."

Oberyn raises his eyebrows. "Oh, yeah. I know exactly what you're saying." His voice drips with sarcasm.

She assesses him, seriously. "You think you're so funny."

He raises his eyebrows precipitously, in an almost exaggerated expression. "Me? I wouldn't dare presume such a thing. I'm sure it breaks some-" cough, "Natural law."

"Of course. What natural law would that be?"

"I don't know. Surely you have them memorized?"

"The laws of nature aren't written, silly." She snorts.

"Oh, but aren't they? In the clouds, and the grass, and the trees..." He might be making fun of her. Veeeery subtly.

"You're silly." She shrugs. "It's in the heart, but you can't know that."

"Oh, I can't?" He pauses. Tilts his head. "There's a leaf in your hair. Hold on..." He straightens, saunters over.
