Today's the day

There's a small little woman on the mansion grounds.  In complete silence, she performs the routine she's been practicing for years, now.  Her eyes are intent on the absent target, her mind is focused on what she is doing, but when she strikes, she cuts the quiet as violently as her hit, her jab or her kick would find its target.

"Pretty good form. What's the style?"

Mercy is sitting on the porch, where there almost certainly wasn't anyone before, just newly changed, and without the resulting inconvenient nakedness. Bonus of being a walker rather than were. It relaxed her, though, the run, so even if she hasn't had good honest work in too long...

Still be curious, though.

She looks over, and pauses, then. "Judo, actually," she replies. Wait, I know this person. "Whoa, long time no see, Mercy."

A nod. "I've never had the discipline for martial arts. It's more - what do they call it? Street-style." Her grin is a little self-deprecating. "Yeah, I know. You too."

She gives her a grin, beckons her over. "I'm due for a break. You wanna share my water?"

[themercyful]

"Sure." She smiles, a little. "If you don't mind. What've you been up to, other than judo, then?"

"Mostly, keeping my eye on a Harker type," she replies, as she rolls her shoulders. "That, and postponing my vacation with Sam."

[themercyful]

"...sounds like you could use a vacation. What's up with the Harker type?" Leaning back against the porch.

She unfortunately doesn't know Mercy well enough to go in detail.

"Imagine that Mina finally turned full-on vamp. Now imagine Harker."

[themercyful]

"Oof. Sounds like fun. Sorry you got involved." And she is sympathetic. It sounds like the sort of mess Mercy herself would get tangled in. Did get tangled in.

"Heh." She shrugs, takes a swig of water. "At least I can't complain that I'm bored."

"Not always a good thing, is that?" Sympathetically. "Any way I could help?"

Actually.... She smirks, a little. "How do you feel about picking up a stake out duty for a bit, Mercy?"

"What are you staked out for? As long as I know that, sure. Bet you could use a rest."

[tomboy_22]

"The Johnathan Harker rip-off. I'm worried he'll either make a pass at my fiancee, or try to find his. So I've been keeping an eye on him."

[themercyful]

"What's his name?" She leans back, elbows on the bottom railing of the porch. "I can keep an eye on him. Nothing like living with werewolves to teach you to keep an eye on people."

"Paul," she replies, and she adds that last name that we don't know because Kostova didn't bother to give it to us. "You can't miss him. He looks like a bookworm straight out of the 50's. All in tweed."
