The mansion quite obviously has problems. Or at least Hank Morgan thinks it does. So many people, so much manpower just sitting there. Useless. True, they're building a church and that is something productive, but Hank's thoughts on religion are tangled to say the least. He doesn't like the power it can hold over men, especially when organized. Why don't they build a school? Or a factory? Of goods or weapons or men, like the ones he made in Camelot.
But then, these people probably need to start out small. Give them little bits of civilization first, then move on to the real thing. Which is why Hank has hung up a multitude of fliers in support of his latest venture.
Baseball.
The papers extol the virtues of the game, its noble history, the success of the game in America, his own experience in coaching it, and the fact that the players get to hit balls with wooden clubs. Hank is sitting down somewhere near one of them, putting the finishing touches on a bat. He is also happily singing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game". The song is after his time and lord only knows where he heard it, but it's obvious he's quite taken with it and unlikely to stop singing anytime soon.
