It was a walk, as usual, that brought Lestat to the mansion a bit earlier, a short conversation leaving him sitting in the main room pondering not really all that much at all. He smiles to himself as he plays absentmindedly with the ring on his right hand staring off out a window. A part of him knows he should seek out Louis once more as he ( Read more... )

Henry is downstairs, quiet, and reading, oddly focused and frowning. It's the Silmarillion again, and this time he's trying to pinpoint some things about it, and it's not going well.

It is a very strange and sudden moment when his mind quiets all at once. At first it is somewhat disconcerting and he looks up and around to reorient himself. Upon doing so he spots the other man. He smiles and, oblivious to the book, attempts to make conversation. "Hello. You look-- almost familiar, have we met?"

He sets the book down - the search has been fruitless, no sense wasting effort. He looks up, startled. "...briefly, I believe," kind of absently.

He shrugs a little, amused by the other man's behavior. "Then let us pretend we haven't and start with a clean slate, for it is entirely more entertaining that way." He grins, a quite charming grin really, and extends a hand to him. "I am Lestat, and it is a pleasure to meet you."

Henry smiles, slightly, and stands, shaking the offered hand. "Ah - Lestat?" Pleased, suddenly.

He nods, intrigued by the sudden change in demeanor. "Indeed. And you are?"

"Henry Fitzroy. Anita speaks highly of you."

"Ah, yes." He grins rather widely now. "She is lovely, and she speaks fondly of you. Tell me, did you like the car, or should you prefer something else? Certainly if it does not suit you I might procure something more to your tastes."

"The car was quite fine. If apparently lacking for gas." He smiles, a little.

"You will not have to worry." He laughs. "I was perhaps a bit thoughtless in that, but it will be taken care of, I promise you."

He smiles. "Then it's flawless. Though I do hope I don't have to be too jealous."

"She is a friend." He returns the smile quite warmly and shakes his head, "I assure you there is no need for jealousy. I am happily married, and quite happily involved. Endlessly in love really..." He gazes off for a moment getting an almost sickeningly sweet look in his eye.

Then of course he snaps back to reality. "So--" He grins sheepishly, "No. No reason to be jealous. I am a fool in love, and quite happy to be so."

"Ah no. No." He practically buries his face in his hands, shaking his head as he laughs. "Forgive me. My mind these days--"

Running his hands through his hair he glances back up at the other man. "It is strange, it wanders off and sometimes I find I have to reel it back in. I'm sorry-- no. You do not have to be jealous of the car. I think you shall both enjoy it quite a bit."
