"Well, I can't help ya much with the farmin', I'm more of a cattle man m'self. But howdy, all the same." Jack is, apparently, being sociable, and was drawn towards a fellow Texan, even if he doesn't quite know that bit yet. But he tips his hat and gives Lee a smile.

"You're thinking of Percy," Mordred says -- his own family has more of a kitchen garden than anything else. "Percy's a special case, he'd plant potatoes in the middle of the street if he was let to." Anachronistic potatoes at that, but who's counting?

"Down south through the woods is probably your best bet. Plenty of room, and no forest. Lady Rohana is out there, and the fellow with the goats, but other than that I don't think anyone's claimed it."
