This bright eyed, white haired lady is not in the slightest lost and in all ways dressed for the weather. She sweeps up the path, takes the front steps easily, swirls through the door and reaches up to undo the sash securing her broad, elegant hat to her head

Gaheris' reaction is much the same as Melou's, inasmuch as it involves surprise and a lack of recognition, but he has enough presence of mind to remark, with interest, "You're going to fix that thing?"

He nods his head, measurably friendly, and suddenly says, "You're Wise, aren't you?"

"I have been said to be so," Ganieda says gently.

"I thought," quietly.

Ganieda tilts her head and laces her fingers together before her, watching him quietly.

He looks back, a small, thin man, with the wild place in his eyes calmed almost into nothing, just something faint and dim that lingers.

"You will do well," Ganieda says, after a moment, "You have done well already, and will do better in future."

She is completely self-assured. It is a statement of fact, irrevocable, only the shape of the world as she traces it with her fingers, or spies it from a window.
