This bright eyed, white haired lady is not in the slightest lost and in all ways dressed for the weather. She sweeps up the path, takes the front steps easily, swirls through the door and reaches up to undo the sash securing her broad, elegant hat to her head

He blinks, which is the closest Childermass has ever come to looking surprised. "You came on purpose, madam?"

"Oh, child, what did I say? Goodness, yes, though easier in than out, I expect I'll find it."

"Most likely. Still." He stands. "You mentioned the cupboard, then."

"Yes, indeed," her eyes twinkle, and she casually drops her hat on a convenient sidetable, "First things first, yes? It's a bit small here for a closed system."

"It can't be entirely closed, as people come and go, but it seems resources don't."

"Precisely what I mean!" Ganieda says cheerfully. The cloak comes off too, and is flung over the side table's matching chair to dry. "Shall we remedy that issue? I shouldn't like to see anyone go hungry because of a cupboard took offense: they're dear structures, you know, but they can be a trifle touchy."

"I've not heard of anything quite like it, even of Faerie make." And he has heard of a great many things, for a mortal man.

"Oh, it's certainly unusual," Ganieda says. "I've a knack with architecture." She winks. "You can see the future through my windows. Or the past. The trick is knowing which way you're looking."

Yeah, she's not really much more informative than her brother.

Though he's not sure he trusts her, her method of speech isn't so different from Norrell or Strange. He simply nods, and says, "If I can aid you, madam, I will try in this."

"Good man," Ganieda says, "Lead on!"

So Childermass leads back to the kitchen, to the cabinet that was once the plothole. He silently indicates which it was with a small gesture.

Gani hums, and leans forward to inspect it. "Would you get me a stool, sir?" she says, "This might take a while."

And she extracts a small screwdriver from somewhere in her skirts and sets to work fixing the hang of the doors.

He raises an eyebrow, but does find her a stool, and brings it over. "Will you need any other supplies?" Because, for now, treating her as if she's Norrell will be safest.
