Crackplot. But not a bad one!

Khary's in a fairly good mood, unlike most of his family. Of course, this means that he wants to share. Hence, the denizens of the Mansion might find a few surprises wandering about. If anyone spends more than five minutes not changing activities, they may find themselves quite a bit younger.

In the main room, people may find themselves saying ( Read more... )

Felix was sitting down reading when something changed. A rather younger man drops the book that he can't read and looks around the room, confused. He doesn't remember getting here. And this certainly doesn't look like the Shining Tiger.

And across from him was reading a Phedre, who about 2 minutes later, looks up, and frowns.

She touches her dress, and frowns more.

"This is not my Lord Delaunay's Library..."

T: I just moved her cut back to Dart, just before Alcuin and Delaunay get assassinated.

Might even leave her there for a while, I'm not sure.

Felix is now wandering around the library, vaguely confused, and when he notices the lady he tentatively heads in her direction. "'Scuse me, mistress..."

She looks at him, interestedly. "Aye?" She's not sure he should call her Mistress. She's just a Servant, after all.

He shifts, uneasily. "D'you know where I am? I think...I'm s'posed to be at the Shining Tiger."

I'll get in trouble with Lorenzo if I don't get back. And I don't want that.

She looks around, then at him.

Beaten. Hurt. He has the bearing of one who is not a true Valerian.

"I don't think I can quite help you..." She stands, looks about. "This cannot be the City of Elua..."

"City of Elua?" Confused, and nervous, and definitely sore, moving gingerly.

"Aye." She smiles, gently. "It is not whence you live?"

But she already knows the answer, because the establishment he mentioned does not exist on Night's Doorstep. She would know.

"Nah. Pharoahlight, in Mélusine." Still keeping his eyes downcast, because he knows people don't like them.

"I see." She doesn't question the place, it sounds foreign, and like no place she ever learned of, but. "Pray not be abeyante. I serve as well," she says kindly.

Besides, Felix, you might notice she has something funny in her eye too, if you look up.

He blinks and does look up. "--y'what, mistress?"

Their eyes meet, briefly, and she notes the colors without reacting to them.

"I am a servant of Naamah." She tugs a little at her dress, to show him the top of her marque.

She just got it done, a week ago - she's still sore from Longest Night.

...'fraid I don't know what you're talking about," carefully. Not reacting to the marque, either. He eyes the chair, wondering if it'd hurt too much to sit down.

"Are you not dedicated to her service as well?" She might look at bit confused, there.

"Whose service? Don't think so, mistress. M'just a-"

He manages to stop that epithet.

"Sorry, mistress," looking down again.

"Phedre, please." Very gently. "And you're just a what?"

Say it.
