Reintroduction

Gen had been taking a walk, not thinking of anything in particular, when he found himself back in the common room of the Mansion.   When he looks up, he already knows the answer, but calls "Roxane?" regardless, just to be certain.

When there's no answer, he sighs.  "Well."

"I'm sorry, my cousin hasn't been around lately. Can I help you?"

Let's start with a sweet sound of confusion ! Though we're supposing Gen would know who's talking to him from the writing desk, likely so.

He turns toward the voice, and says in French fluent enough to be native, "I doubt my Roxane is your cousin, though perhaps it's possible. She's American."

"Clearly, we are not thinking of the same Roxane," Cyrano replies with a flamboyant bow that includes a wave of the three-feathered hat. "But you never know, several generations removed..."

He's impressed with the French - which makes him think of his friend Helen, in turn.

"Very possible." He returns the bow, much more subdued. "I am Gen Watanabe. And the Roxane in question is surnamed Coss."

"Madeleine Robin, would be the full name of mine, as for my self..." a dramatic pause, "Cyrano Savinien Hercule de Bergerac."

[kotoba_tadashii]

"A pleasure, monsieur."

[cyranosavignien]

"Likewise." He smiles. "And you've only just arrived?"

"Yes. Well... I'd been here before, some years ago, but I've only just arrived this time."

[cyranosavignien]

"Well then." Cyrano clears his throat. "That is most surprising."

He has no memory of his first tenure at the Mansion.

"For me as well, I assure you."

[cyranosavignien]

"I don't doubt it. I was pulled here in the middle of combat. Not an easily forgotten shock. I sympathize."

[kotoba_tadashii]

"Ah. Mine was nothing so traumatic. I was just trying to go the kitchen."

[cyranosavignien]

"That could be traumatic as well if you do not expect it, you seem weathered to such things...."

[kotoba_tadashii]

He nods a bit. "Perhaps I have simply grown accustomed to the idea that life will not notify me, before something drastic changes."

[cyranosavignien]

Cyrano nods. "A beautiful attitude to have, in truth."

[kotoba_tadashii]

He chuckles. "It's only what my experience has led me to expect."
