At long last, here he is... (Intro)

It’s a mess of spaghetti feeling things, a blur of stink, and hands groping into him, membranous filigrane probing at his mouth, the very air he breathes filled with the stink of troll.

Only one thing to keep him from despair as the gash of acid burns his skin through the fabric - his brother is out there, and he will get him out. But nonetheless, the pressure on his ribcage is too much, and he almost faints, suddenly erupting from the earth on the pad of the Mansion’s lawn, only god knows why, sword in hand, when he shouldn’t have it anymore.

His dark jacket is ruined, he’s gasping for air, almost gone far under, his face and shoulders burned by the acid.  He's dreaming again of Abaggor, and the nightmare takes a turn for the worst, his brother is dead, he killed him and the troll is just going to digest him slowly and painfully.

He's flailing weakly on the lawn, his coat of night on him, his gear still with him even then, because it's just the way he sleeps these days - it's a watch night, and in just a little, his partner, his brother, should wake him up.  His body is jerking, and he wakes with a start.

In two seconds, he's on his feet, and takes out of his jacket one of his many, many sharp objects, this one, a dagger.

He’s ready to make a two-handed wobbly stand against….

Against what, again?

T: We give you the long awaited Niko Leandros, from Rob Thurman's Caliban Leandros Series. Yes, he was dreaming about the bowels of Abbagor. He's taken somewhere between Nightlife and Madhouse. Needless to say, again, it's all Lise's fault.
