The wolves are very deep in the woods, but they are trackable. Paw prints larger than any wolf's should be, deep barking and howls from deep in the woods. They don't make any attempt to conceal their presence. It should be easy enough to track them, though they're likely to find him as well as he gets closer, watching him from the shadows.

Mean typist debates with herself for a while before shrugging and taping on her ETA club card.

Celegorm doesn't like the strange silence of the animals in the woods. Because there is nothing, and that's never good. As he gets deeper in the woods and finds the pawprints, he shifts into a stalking crouch, following the tracks. It is easy. If he were sensible, he would be worried about this.

He is not, though. Sensible folk need not apply to this family.

Ooh, is that an elf we smell? It doesn't take long for one of the wolves to sniff him out and start following him, a couple others slowly joining in. There might be the sound of a low growl, but that's the only sign of their presence just yet.

He pauses and takes out the sword with a little hiss, turning slowly to watch the woods, listening. But not seeing anything, and only hearing the one growl, he continues following the tracks.

Slowly around him comes another growl, a rustle of leaves, a shadow slides past between the trees. They're watching.

He stops, standing still, eyes flicking around at the trees. They're there. Holding his weapon angled toward the ground, tense and wary.

A howl comes from one side of him, while from the other side a wolf lunges forward, claws and fangs going for Tyelko's arm.

He wheels that way, his own teeth bared, realizing the trick a moment too late. He whirls to club the leaping wolf with the hilt of his sword with a snarl. But likely not fast enough to keep it from getting its teeth into him.

Not quite, he does draw blood but he also gets knocked away with a yelp when the hilt knocks him. The other wolf snarls and leaps for the arm with the sword.

When the first wolf is knocked away, he slashes for the next, face almost mad with fury.

The attacking wolf might scrape him with his claws but he gets slashed badly along one shoulder and leg. He howls in pain as the first wolf, having shaken off the blow, snarls in anger and lunges for Tyelko's throat.

In going for the already wounded wolf again, trying to kill it, he misses that and stumbles backward, trying to twist away and push it off.

The twist makes the wolf miss his throat and bite down on his shoulder instead but he can't get a good grip. The other wolf, receiving another injury before Tyelko's attention is drawn away, whines in pain and slinks back, limping badly.

Ow! Bitch. Tyelko tries to shake free, unable to get at it with his sword, the weight even with the bad grip driving him downwards.

The wolf releases his shoulder for a moment once Tyelko is on the ground, trying for his neck again. It might give Tyelko a chance to strike.

He rolls over as fast as he can, drawing the knife at his waist with his free hand and stabbing for the wolf's back.
