Melou's education as far as reading and writing stopped when he was on the young side, and you've got to take medieval spellings into account anyway. But the notice he tacks up is mostly readable, if you take a few moments to study it really good and hard.

It says, plainly printed:

I WOD SEKE A PRYSTE TO MARRIE A LADY TO-GETHYR WYTHE A MANN. MELLOU AP MODREDE.

He is hovering about nearby in a very anxious fashion, biting his lip and wiping at his nose a lot, which despite the faint shining smile on his face happens to make him look far too young to be putting up this kind of notice.

(He is also kind of hoping his mother will tag by. After all, she does need to meet the bride.)
