Martha has been here and there, not getting into too much drama (well, not recently, anyway), except for her brief and upsetting flashback to age eight. (But, she has her puppy Leopold to comfort her, along with sandwich-making with Lammermeier.)
She can be found sitting somewhere on the floor, Leopold in her lap, notebook in her hand. As Martha jots down the date, she has a rather surprising realization:
"Today is my birthday?"
