He throws the doors open and comes striding in, muttering under his breath, long red hair loose down his back. His bare arms are tattooed from the elbows down to the wrists, and he has a ring on each finger, an earring in one ear, and is very tall and astonishingly lanky. He's pretty hard to miss, all in all, even without the sheer, irrepressible arrogance in his bearing, and perhaps most striking and most alarming are his eyes, one yellow, the other pale blue.
He stops about halfway down the hallway, seeming to register for the first time that he's not where he's supposed to be. He frowns, though there's a hint of alarm flickering in his eyes as several thoughts occur to him and are quickly rejected.
One corner of his mouth curls in a dry smile, his voice sharp as a knife as he says dryly, "I suppose I've been a bit touchy lately, but hardly anything that warrants banishment to this sort of...place." He puts all the scorn in the world on the word 'place', as if he can't believe the state of it.
There's still the persistent air of nervousness around him, and perhaps a touch of the skittish, however. But he certainly doesn't look it, standing in the hall with an almost petulant little frown and glaring at the walls with those peculiar eyes of his.
Typist: Well - meet Felix Harrowgate, from Sarah Monette's Dominion of the Labyrinth series (Melusine, The Virtu, The Mirador), taken from shortly after the beginning of the latter. He's a very curious man, and a very powerful wizard.
Oh yes. And most definitely gay. He'll flirt with anything that walks, though. But don't take him seriously. He has a nasty tendency to rip out people's hearts accidentally. Sort of.
