There is a stable near, with steeds and dogs--ere now, well furnished for their every need, but lately dogged by want of food for them. An you would take one dog upon yourself, and feed him from your plate, and water him, his life might well be bettered by the care.
The horses seem less troubled for the lack, but an their straits should dire be, I pray that you will show them equal charity.
